whidbey island flea market

Last Saturdays from MARCH thru October

Whidbey Island's own monthly flea market at Greenbank Farm!

It's been too long since Whidbey Island has had a regular flea market. If you're a local, you know what an amazing variety of items we have on the island at garage sales and fundraisers. Now there's a market that brings all of that variety together in one place in central Whidbey!

Greenbank Farm has Whidbey Pies available at Old Spots Bistro, the Greenbank Farm Wine Shop (home of the justifiably famous loganberry wine), and Greenbank Cheese Specialty Food and Gifts. There's also an art gallery and a take-out food spot.

Our next market date is May 28, from 9-1, rain or shine!

At the same time, the Emerging Artist and Craftsperson Market is happening inside the barn from 10-2.

Interested in vending?

2022 Flea Market Dates

Flea markets in 2022 are last Saturdays from March 26 through October 29. In the early spring and fall, the market is inside the barn and the hours are 10-2, where summer sees us outside from 9-1.

For summer 2022, setup begins at 7:30, and teardown must be complete by 2. We will have some dates in the triangle on Wonn Rd when there's a large wedding that requires the main parking lot.

Choose your space type

Outside Dates

Please review the event layout to the left for the outside dates, and book below.  The fee $20 per space, and applies to both 10x10  spaces right next to the parking lot that allow you to display items on your vehicle, and 10x15 areas further away that will allow you to keep your vehicle on the field as long as the ground is completely dry.

Inside Dates

Spaces are $30 inside the barn, are 7x12, and come with an 8' table and 1-2 chairs as part of the fee.

There's no percentage, and event insurance is included. All trash has to be packed out, and your area must be free of debris before you leave.

What can I vend?

Any items are allowed, new or used, except for the following:

- Weapons

- Cannabis

- Chemicals unless they are sealed shut and put on a tarp or vinyl tablecloth

- Anything illegal to sell

If animals are sold, they must be enclosed or otherwise restrained, have fresh water and food available, shade in warm weather, and all waste must be removed from site.

How do I register for a space? How does vending work?

Once you book your space below,  come out to Greenbank Farm an hour before the market opens.

At closing, pack out everything you brought in - items, trash, etc., and clean your space within an hour. Any violation of this or any other guideline means you will not be allowed to vend at future events.

Do I have to stay until closing?

No, but you have to make sure that you don't disturb other vendors or their customers.

What if I'm just interested in giving away my things rather than selling them?

We'll have an area set aside just for giveaways. No furniture or anything heavy, but you are welcome to bring a flyer for those things.  Please do come back by before the market closes to reclaim anything of yours that still remains. You are also entirely welcome to set up a space to chat and stay with us!

What happens if the spaces sell out?

For the inside dates, there's only a certain amount of space in the barn, so when they sell out, they sell out.

For outside dates, we may open additional rows in the field in the future as the event grows.

Anything else I should know?

The State of Washington requires a temporary sales tax certificate if you're only selling at 1-2 events a year, and this does include flea markets. More information can be found at https://dor.wa.gov/open-business/business-types/temporary-businesses.

The organizer will not require a copy of your certificate.

No music is allowed unless it's quiet enough to not disturb other vendors.

Be sure and bring enough change for cash sales, any infrastructure you need to display your items (besides the 8' table),  and ideally have your items priced. If you have items that are too large to transport, bring flyers with pictures/measurements/descriptions.

An available space can be booked as late as 6 am Saturday if they are still available.

If you book a space and cannot attend, we cannot give a refund, including for weather. You are welcome to give or sell your space to someone else.

The organizer is not part of Greenbank Farm management, and they cannot help with any questions you have about the event. Please use the Contact Us form if you need to speak to us.
