Whidbey Island, for those who don't already know, is an absolute haven for artists and makers of all kinds! We have the highest per capita of glassmakers per square mile of anywhere in North America, and that's just for starters! Add in all of our painters, weavers, woodcrafters, potters, and everyone in between, and you end up with an embarrassing (but very welcome) number of artistic riches on one lovely island. :)
And we want to share it with you!
Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6 from 10-4
5642 Bayview Road
Langley, WA 98260
As the Artist and Owner of Seacrest Ceramics, I make unique pottery pieces that can be used and shared. Ceramics is the ultimate connection for me; to self, to others, and to the earth. With my hands in clay I am creating pieces that will be used by and shared between people. Passing a bowl around the table, we are encouraged to connect while sharing our space, our thoughts, our food.
Working with clay is deeply fulfilling to me, sparking a sense of artistic command. It has allowed me to integrate my interior design background: exploring the themes of color, flow and function. Further, being part of the Whidbey Island art community has given me energy, joy and fulfillment. Each piece I craft serves as a tangible bridge, connecting my creative spirit to yours. My aspiration is that when you hold one of my creations, you will experience the same sense of connection and find pleasure in its use and sharing.

I create art jewelry under the name My Brown Wren. I have been creating art jewelry in sterling silver, mixed metals and vitreous enamel for over 13 years here on Whidbey Island. My jewelry has a minimal aesthetic that plays off of the stones or textures of the metal used. Many pieces are inspired by the natural world, but I am also inspired by the patterns and textures of Asian art, textiles and the designs of the Art Deco, Art Nouveau and Mid-Century Modern periods. I also enjoy adding a touch of whimsy to many of my designs. Each piece is handcrafted with love and care in the hope that it will resonate with the right person and bring them the same joy creating it has brought to me.
Hey everyone! I'm Tina, and I've been immersing myself in the vibrant world of acrylic fluid art since 2017. My love for art has always been a part of me, but it was through art therapy—while healing from military injuries—that I discovered my true passion for fluid art. It's not just a technique for me; it's a way to express and heal.
Together with my husband Tim, I run TC Design Fusion. We pour our hearts into every piece. I specialize in hand painted jewelry, hotpot’s, coasters and art.
Inspired by designs from her Ukrainian heritage, Zina Kunko brings these colors and patterns into her hand-painted pots, which she embellishes with one of a kind designs. Each individual pot is thus a piece of original artwork. Each displays the harmony and intricacy of Ukrainian design and culture, also seen in pysanky (Ukrainian Easter eggs) and in Ukrainian embroidery. Though formally trained in landscapes & oil painting, Zina Kunko’s heritage, as well as current geopolitical events, inspired her to restart painting using these patterns, as a way to spread the knowledge of the culture of Ukraine.
Herbalist Lori gathers and grows 50 different local plants on Whidbey Island and along the Skagit river, returns to her herbal studio outside Langley to dry and infuse them into olive oil, and then creates daily balms, pain salves, lotion bars, lip balms, body oils, sachets, and sleep & dream pillows seasonally. Soap maker Gina uses Lori’s dried plants, local plant-infused oils & ideas from local forests and fields to create our soaps, shampoo bars, doggy shampoo bars, dish soap bars, and shower steamers. Everything we make holds locally grown and ethically gathered plants that we work with as friends, learners, and ancestors.
Stitched by Jennifer, based in Freeland, Washington weaves tales through embroidery, crafting charming flour sack towels, delicate earrings, pillows and personalized burp cloths. Each creation is a labor of love, adding warmth and personality to daily life.
I am a Pacific Northwest wildlife/Nature artist/painter. Living here in the PNW provides me daily, unlimited inspiration! I especially love to paint those species that need a voice, are at risk, undervalued or have a unique story to tell about their lives. I admit to favoring marine mammals and birds, but enjoy painting other local flora and fauna as well. I strive to bring these species to life, to tell their story to others. I paint in acrylic, oils, watercolor and pastel.
While exploring the world of miniatures I found no suitable models, so I decided to make my own.

Salish Sea Gifts was founded in 2019 oering beach art made from found treasures, driftwood, shells, metal and glass. Our artists all live on or close to the shores of Puget Sound otherwise known as the Salish Sea. Our driftwood is legally sourced from private beaches on the Salish Sea. All pieces are hand-sanded, painted and sealed for protection outdoors. Shells are soaked in bleach to remove any organisms and dried in the sun before
adding adornments from lichen, moss, cones and bark. Seaglass jewelry is tumbled and added to sterling silver elements. Photography is digitally
captured, manipulated and printed locally. New products are generated daily, and inventory changes quickly. Custom orders are welcome.
We are long-time islanders, Whidbey Animal Improvement Foundation, Sound Stewards, and Orca Network volunteers and are actively involved in efforts to educate and preserve the forest and waterfront resources of Whidbey Island.
From an early age, being creative has been a driving force for Petra. In Canada, her father gave her her first camera. She still has that camera and cherishes it. Although she has spent most of her adult career as a number person in accounting or the procurement field, her heart has always been drawn to the arts in one form or another. Photography is her therapy and passion: telling a story, capturing a moment, capturing an interesting image that another may not see, and putting it on paper or a framed canvas.
Knitted and crocheted items, including these super cute frogs! Originally from Germany and a licensed vet tech, my crocheted art is there for myself and others to see and smile at. :)
"Sewn With Love" was created this year by Patricia Woodland, and Jeni Hofer. It's a small, in home, business consisting of two gals who love to sew, love to buy fabric, and enjoy Arts & Crafts shows. Our goal is to have fun. With 80+ years of experience at sewing between us (with heavy emphasis on quilting), we decided to focus our skills on "fun" crafts. Our main feature item is a lady's wallet that is not only beautiful, but it has room for everything, including your cell phone. Being avid Pinochle players we've created a card holder for playing card games. These are helpful to those with arthritic fingers, and also, for young children. We've also brought bowl cozies into our mix. These are pretty and very handy for handling those HOT bowls of soup in the winter. We have other items like pot holders, coasters, shopping bags, and various sizes of zip bags... just for fun. Everything at our booth is "sewn with love".

1) Live on Whidbey or Fidalgo Island?
2) Create your own art or crafts, using a minimum of pre-crafted supplies?
First, this is a juried show.
This is going to be inside of Bayview Hall, at Bayview Corner in Langley, with a few spaces for 10x10 outside canopies if you create furniture or other large items that aren't easy to move.
The inside of the Hall will consist of 10'W x 8'D spaces along the walls (electricity available, $35/day or $60 for both dates), and 10'W x 5' D spaces in the center of the room (no electricity, $25/day or $40 for both dates). Setup takes place from 8-10 am both days. Items can be left in the Hall overnight at your own risk. Outside spaces are $30/day, and obviously there's no guarantee of weather.
We also ask for a donation of an item retailing for $20 or less, which will be auctioned or raffled off at our non-profit event on November 23. There's no percentage to us or the Hall, and event liability insurance is included in the space fee.
Vendors will need to provide all their own tables, canopies and display infrastructure. The Hall has plenty of chairs.
The Hall's floor is real wood, so all precautions should be taken to keep it in good condition! Don't drag anything across the floor. If you have furniture legs or anything sitting on the floor that might scratch, bring something to put underneath it. If you have anything that might spill, put down a tarp and put your items inside a plastic tub of some kind. There are multiple entrances with a few steps to climb, and a single ramp in the front of the Hall.
Contact us and tell us about what you create! Final decisions will be made no later than Memorial Day.
The State of Washington requires a temporary sales tax certificate if you're only selling at 1-2 events a year, and this does include flea markets. More information can be found at https://dor.wa.gov/open-business/business-types/temporary-businesses.
The organizer will not require a copy of your certificate.
No music is allowed unless it's what you're selling, and it isn't disturbing other vendors.
The organizer (that would be us) is not part of Bayview Hall management, and they cannot help with any questions you have about the event. Please use the Contact Us form if you need to speak to us.
